Essential Stay Details

• Parking: Secure parking is included in the monthly rental at no additional cost. Most parking spots are built for standard-size vehicles; please notify us if you have a non-standard vehicle to ensure seamless accommodations.
• Cleaning: A one-time $390 cleaning fee applies at booking. Optional weekly or bi-weekly professional cleaning can also be arranged on an hourly basis to meet your preferences.
• Booking Rates: As a Canadian company, rates may display in USD on some platforms, but a full breakdown in both CAD and USD is provided before confirmation. We accept all major credit cards except American Express.

Important Policies and Notes

• BC Rental Regulations: Effective May 1, 2024, the BC Government has set the minimum stay for rentals in British Columbia at 90 days. If you see the option to book a shorter stay, be aware that some platforms display this to show the breakdown of the monthly rate for this property. Rates shown are based on 12-month stays, but various other lengths of stay are offered. Please send us an email or a message via CheckedIn for a custom quote based on your preferred details.
• Smoke-Free Environment: All properties strictly enforce a $500 bylaw fine for smoking or vaping (including marijuana) anywhere inside the unit or within the building premises.
• Check-In: Important check-in instructions and secure building access details will be sent to you from CheckedIn prior to your arrival date.
• Cancellation Policy: We always recommend purchasing comprehensive trip cancellation insurance. Once confirmed, your reservation is refundable (less a $175 administrative fee) up until 30 days before travel. Once you are within 30 days of travel, the booking becomes 100% nonrefundable. For multi-month stays, no administrative fees are charged for modifications, provided 30 days' written notice of your departure date is submitted.

If you would like to confirm the stay, it will require a $500 deposit for 1 and 2-bedroom apartments or $1000 for 3 bedrooms or more, which will then be applied as the damage deposit. Upon check-out, the damage deposit will be refunded within 14 business days if no damage has occurred to the unit. If there is damage to the unit, you will be notified via email.

Your stay is fully refundable if cancelled before 30 days of arrival, with a $175.00 administrative fee. The balance of your deposit will be refunded via e-transfer to a Canadian Bank Account or to the same credit card on file. Please note there is a 4.75% credit card surcharge applicable if your refund is to a credit card.

If you need to cancel, the non-refundable period starts when you are within 30 days of your check-in date. Date changes are free, subject to availability and any differing rates. Monthly rent payments are due 30 days ahead of the upcoming month. Any cancellations need to be made in writing and sent to stay@checkedinvictoria.com.

Additional Terms and House Rules:

1. A license to occupy agreement is mandatory to be signed as soon as the reservation is confirmed.
2. A Damage Deposit is required to be paid once the reservation is confirmed. It is refundable upon checkout if no damage has occurred to the unit/house.
3. If your stay is more than 30 days, there will a mid-stay cleaning fee added after every 30 days.
4. Please note you must be 25 years or older to make a reservation.
5. All our properties have a $500 bylaw fine for smoking within the unit and the building. This includes vaping and marijuana.
