‣ Cleaning: A one-time $290 cleaning fee applies at the time of booking. Optional weekly or bi-weekly professional cleaning services can also be easily scheduled on an hourly basis to meet your exact preferences.
‣ Booking Rates: As a Canadian company, our primary rates are processed in CAD. While some international platforms may auto-convert prices to USD, a clear, transparent breakdown showing both currencies is provided on the final page before you confirm your booking. We accept direct payments from all major credit cards except American Express.

‣ BC Rental Regulations: Effective May 1, 2024, the BC Government has set the minimum stay for rentals in British Columbia at 90 days. If you see the option to book a shorter stay, be aware that some platforms display this to show the breakdown of the monthly rate for this property. ‣ Cancellation Policy: We always recommend purchasing comprehensive trip cancellation insurance. Once confirmed, your reservation is refundable (less a $175 administrative fee) up until 30 days before travel. Once you are within 30 days of travel, the booking becomes 100% nonrefundable. Cancellation Policy

If you would like to confirm the stay, it will require a $500 deposit for 1 and 2-bedroom apartments or $1000 for 3 bedrooms or more, which will then be applied as the damage deposit. Upon check-out, the damage deposit will be refunded within 14 business days if no damage has occurred to the unit. If there is damage to the unit, you will be notified via email.

Your stay is fully refundable if cancelled before 30 days of arrival, with a $175.00 administrative fee. The balance of your deposit will be refunded via e-transfer to a Canadian Bank Account or to the same credit card on file. Please note there is a 4.75% credit card surcharge applicable if your refund is to a credit card.

If you need to cancel, the non-refundable period starts when you are within 30 days of your check-in date. Date changes are free, subject to availability and any differing rates. Monthly rent payments are due 30 days ahead of the upcoming month. Any cancellations need to be made in writing and sent to stay@checkedinvictoria.com.

Additional Terms and House Rules:

1. A license to occupy agreement is mandatory to be signed as soon as the reservation is confirmed.
2. A Damage Deposit is required to be paid once the reservation is confirmed. It is refundable upon checkout if no damage has occurred to the unit/house.
3. If your stay is more than 30 days, there will a mid-stay cleaning fee added after every 30 days.
4. Please note you must be 25 years or older to make a reservation.
5. All our properties have a $500 bylaw fine for smoking within the unit and the building. This includes vaping and marijuana.

Great location! We loved our stay in this airy and bright condo with gorgeous water views. The host was super helpful and responsive, the place was really organized, clean, and had the basics plus many extras. Very comfortable bed - great coffee options- and very flexible hosts. We’d happily stay again. Lots of great restaurants nearby and parking on site was super convenient.

This is a great property in a centralized location that provides amazing views and upscale comforts. Parking is provided in a secured garage with remote control access. We were able to easily walk in downtown with major attractions just minutes away. The penthouse itself was quiet and comfortable. Coffee machine options were very welcome along with the well stocked basic supplies in the kitchen. The private roof top patio was spacious although we didn't use it much due to it being colder. The staircase leading to the roof hatch was precarious but there is an elevator. Bed was very comfortable as was the modern furniture. Thanks for a great stay!

This place was very nice, and so was our host. Her personal touch in meeting us there upon our arrival, was very much appreciated, and the communication was clear and detailed. We really enjoyed our time in her home, and the location was perfect! Unit was clean and looked exactly like the pictures that were posted, along with the description. Location is so close to a French bakery, numerous restaurants, retail stores, a large shopping mall, and so many other wonderful attractions and places that you will want to visit. The only downside during our stay was the gas fire place that went out two days before our departure, and it was right during Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. Other than that, it was a wonderful stay and we truly enjoyed staying here and seeing the city and the beauty of Victoria, BC.

What a great apartment! Fully equipped. Super clean. Location is phenomenal. View from the apartment is stunning. Centrally located. The host is very nice and gave clear instructions for check in and check out. Building is very secure. An assigned parking spot in a secure area gave us peace of mind that our car was safe from a break-in, a reality that has become all too common for travelers. Would definitely stay here again.

What a beautiful little place to settle in and enjoy the view & all the life of Victoria: the Harbor, sailing vessels, water taxis, seaplanes, sea otters & multitudes of visitors to the waterfront restaurants below. So many excellent restaurants & shops well within walking distance. Or take a water taxi just outside the condo building to multiple locations around the Harbor. The host was the consummate host & made sure we had all that we needed. This was a 10 for us.

Our hosts made check-in for our stay seamless. The condo was super clean, the kitchen well-equipped, and the view of the bridge, water taxis, and rowing teams made being inside feel like we were outside too! The ease of getting in and out of the building made traveling by foot or by car easy. This location is perfect, a ten minute walk to the tour buses and the parliament buildings, two minutes from Chinatown. If you're traveling to Victoria to relax, this is the place to stay!

I really loved this stay! The host met me at check-in to go over everything. She’s as warm and hospitable as her place is. The views are wonderful, however my favorite was of the water taxi marina below. The sight of tiny, yellow boats each day was endearing.
Pied-à-terre had everything you could hope for… a super comfortable bed, hot shower and a perfect kitchen to cook and caffeinate in. The thing about Victoria is there are so many food options. Some of the best are a short stroll away. The location is great, because you’re adjacent to everything without the density of being in it. Coming home each day/night was relaxing and appreciated. There is a magnificent horn which sounds, when the bridge is raised for passing boats. It doesn’t happen often and only during the day.
Finally… the parking is terrific, the building is secure, the accommodation is clean and thoughtfully designed. The host is an exceptional host. I’d stay again in a heartbeat.

The place is a beautiful, cozy and relaxing rental. From start to finish, the host was great. She met us and checked us in herself and explained everything we needed to know. The parking garage was clean and bright. The view is mesmerizing, especially at night with all the lights in the harbour. We highly recommend this place and will definitely be back someday!

We love the flat at the Mermaid, could not have asked for something so DELIGHTFUL. The check in was no issues, the host was wonderful and walked us thru the flat. The flat has everything we needed, and super close to very nice restaurants and cute little artsy shops. The flat is as described but better, the views are a killer, with the beautiful bridge and all the boats going by, and sunsets a must. Thank you for letting us and sharing with your flat. We had a great time!
