Can't get much closer to the water than Marvelous Mermaid, it sits right next to the bridge walkway, so you have spectacular views of the kayakers and boats on this active waterway!

This is one of a kind in Victoria, part of the 1998 development building on the waterfront in Old Town Victoria. The building was built in 2000 and has steel and concrete construction. Fully renovated in February 2021, Pied-à-Terre Harbour Penthouse has everything you need to cook up a gourmet meal, whip up a cocktail, or just escape and unwind. This unit has a lovely curved shape to it with views of the waterway and the bridge out of every window. You will be kept busy people-watching and checking out the boats sailing by. There is a king bed in the room and also a lovely memory foam Lazy Boy sofa sleeper in the living room for the extra guests. The common area included with this unit is the rooftop deck with an outside BBQ patio area with views from the Parliament buildings to the open ocean. It is the perfect place for relaxing, indulging, and taking in those beautiful seaside harbour views. This is such a great complex, and we have multiple units here, which is great for large groups or extra-large families needing multiple units.

Parking: Parking is included in the monthly rental at no additional cost. Most parking spots are made for a standard-size vehicle, so if you have a non-standard vehicle, please let us know to ensure parking will suit your vehicle.

Cleaning: There is a one-time cleaning fee of $275 that will be added at the time of booking. We also offer bi-weekly or weekly cleaning, which can also be arranged on an hourly basis based on your needs.

Also, note that the rates you see are based on 12-month stays, but we also offer rates for various other lengths of stay. All our properties have a $500 bylaw fine for smoking within the unit and the building. This includes vaping and marijuana.

Cancellation policy:
We never know when something may happen, so we always recommend you purchase trip cancellation insurance. Once you confirm your reservation, it is still refundable, less a $175 administrative fee, up until you are 30 days before travel. Once you are within 30 days of travel, your reservation becomes 100% nonrefundable. If you are booking a multi-month stay, there will be no administrative fee for changes, and note that you will be required to give 30-day notice of your departure date in writing.

If you would like to confirm the stay, it will require a $500 deposit for 1 and 2-bedroom apartments or $1000 for 3 bedrooms or more, which will then be applied as the damage deposit. Upon check-out, the damage deposit will be refunded within 7 business days if no damage has occurred to the unit. If there is damage to the unit, you will be notified via email.

Your stay is fully refundable if cancelled before 30 days of arrival, with a $175.00 administrative fee. The balance of your deposit will be refunded via e-transfer to a Canadian Bank Account or to the same credit card on file. Please note there is a 4.75% credit card surcharge applicable if your refund is to a credit card.

If you need to cancel, the non-refundable period starts when you are within 30 days of your check-in date. Date changes are free, subject to availability and any differing rates. Monthly rent payments are due 30 days ahead of the upcoming month. Any cancellations need to be made in writing and sent to stay@checkedinvictoria.com.
